Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was born in Epsom (Surrey) as the daughter of Josephine Ormond, who works as a laboratory technician and John Ormond. She is the fifth of five children born to her parents. First, she attended Guildford High School and then Cranleigh School. There, her first lead roles in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady were noticed. After one year of college in art, she moved to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. She graduated in the year 1988. Ormond first appeared on British television in the 1989 serial Traffik. The show focused on the illicit heroin trade which was carried out from the middle of the East up to Europe. Ormond played the drug addicted daughter of the lead character, a Home Office minister in the UK government fighting heroin importation. This role received glowing reviews from the very beginning.
