Niykee is a songwriter who, despite her busy schedule, has managed to maintain an ongoing routine. Her personal highlights have been being selected by Snoop dogg as his sidekick at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers she constantly combs through beats that are sent to her and realizes that most result in sparking ideas for songs. It's only after five minutes when I'm able to determine the beat's worthy of my time. From there, I get the idea of a complete song in my brain and I begin to compose. If I am sitting on my back porch playing guitar, the lyrics just flow and are usually done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her skills as a poet and the lyricist. She notes how the pain she experienced during her childhood can be a sources of motivation. She says that even when she's not writing about events that were actually taking place, all of her pain through her childhood and loss of her sister find it's way into her music. My songs are inspired by my experiences and I am able to feel the deeper meaning underneath everything. It's among the elements that is crucial to me.
