April Bowlby

April Bowlby has been an American actor as well as model for a period of more than 20 years. She is known for portraying Kandi on the CBS comedy show Two and a Half Men Stacy Barrett on Drop Dead Diva and Rita Farr on Titans and Doom Patrol. April Michelle Bowlby has a lengthy history of American acting. Her most notable roles include Stacy Barrett, in Drop Dead Diva (a romantic comedy that is a fantasy TV show), and Kandi playing Kandi in Two and a Half Men. She began her modeling career before moving into film and television. The first time she appeared on screen was as an extra in the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation followed by single-episode appearances in various other shows. Then she landed the breakout part of Kandi as Kandi in Two and a Half Men. Bowlby received international attention for her Stacy Barrett role in Drop Dead Diva. She played Rita Farr/Elastigirl who was a regular in the American show Titans. A spin-off of the series Doom Patrol will see her reprise her role as the character. Bowlby also appeared on TV in movies like Sands of Oblivion, The Wrong Daughter as well as Sands of Oblivion 2. Her big screen debut came in the movie All Roads Lead Home and afterwards appeared in several other films like The Slammin Salmon and From Prada to Nada. Bowlby was born in Manteca and went to East Union High School. Before deciding to pursue acting as a profession and directing, she took classes in French as well as ballet in Moorpark College. Following her studies in drama under Ivana Chubb, she landed an important part (Kandi in Two and a Half Men) in the first few months of making her Hollywood debut. Bowlby is famous for her appearances in various TV shows, including CSI (as Kaitlin in 2004), CSI: NY (as Jenny Lee in 2006), Freddie: Sydney in 2005 and the show Stacked as Jasmine as of 2007 and How I Met Your Mother: Meg in 2007. Bowlby appeared as Natasha last year on All Roads Lead Home, film from 2007. It is about a girl aged 12 who has lost her mother in an accident in the car. Bowlby is set to play Mia as she appears as well in The Slammin Salmon (2008). She lives in Los Angeles. Her hair is naturally red and blue eyes. She's not married and she doesn't have children.
